Down duvets have a reputation for being heavy and hot. At 200gsm, this one is neither. It gives you the particular quality of natural fill, the way it drapes over the body and traps warmth without weight, at a weight light enough to use through the warmer months.

The fill is 70% small white duck feather and 30% white duck down. The feather provides the loft and the structure; the down is the fine, clustered part that does the insulating. It is that combination, rather than a synthetic fibre, that lets a duvet be this light and still warm.

The construction is what keeps it that way. Square quilting divides the duvet into pockets so the fill stays evenly spread instead of drifting to the foot of the bed and leaving cold patches, which is the failure mode of every cheap down duvet.

The casing is 100% down-proof treated 400 thread count high grade japara cotton. Down-proofing is a specific treatment that closes the weave enough to stop fine down and quills pushing through, and 400TC is a properly fine cotton. The hems are double stitched for added durability.
