Makers Deluxe Tub Chair Fabric - Sandstone

The neutral that goes with the whole house.

Sandstone is the safe choice in the best sense. It sits happily with timber, white, grey and almost any colour already in the room, which makes it the tub chair to buy when the chair needs to fit in rather than stand out.

The number worth knowing is the Martindale rating: 66,300 cycles. Martindale measures abrasion resistance, rubbing a fabric until it wears through. The industry standard for heavy commercial use and high-traffic environments is 40,000 and above, so this fabric sits well past that. In a home, that means a chair that will not go threadbare on the arms.

The fabric is a durable, hard-wearing 100% polyester, and it has been pre-treated to resist stains, oil and water, so spills sit on the surface long enough to be dealt with.

Underneath is a sturdy timber frame with plate-fitted taper legs. Plate fitting spreads the load across a mounting plate instead of screwing straight into the frame, which is what keeps a chair like this from loosening up after a year. The timber is FSC certified.

Backed by a 2 year warranty on the frame and foam, excluding misuse and general wear and tear.
