A feather and down pillow behaves differently to a fibre one. It moves under the head, it can be punched into shape, and it holds that shape rather than springing back flat. This is the 1000g standard, a medium loft that suits the majority of sleepers.

The fill is 15% white duck down and 85% small white duck feather. The feather is what gives the pillow its structure and support; the down is the fine, soft component that takes the hard edge off it. At 15% down the balance leans towards support rather than softness, which is what makes it a sensible everyday pillow rather than a purely decorative one.

The outer is 100% premium down-proof japara cotton. Down-proof is a specific construction, woven tightly enough that fine down and feather quills cannot work their way through, and it is the difference between a pillow that lasts and one that sheds. The hems are double stitched.

Care Instructions

Use a sateen cotton pillow protector. Gentle warm wash under 40°C, or dry clean. Low heat tumble dry or line dry, then shake and fluff before reuse.
