Weavers 220TC Premium Sheeting Fitted Taupe

A warm neutral that behaves itself in the wash.

Taupe sits between white and charcoal and gets on with almost everything, which is why it is the easiest colour to live with in a room you have not decorated around a colour scheme. It is also the colour that shows the least between changes.

The fabric is a durable percale weave in 50% polyester and 50% cotton, colourfast dyed. Cotton is doing the comfort work, breathability and a soft handle against the skin, while the polyester is doing the practical work: strength, and a sheet that dries fast and comes out of the machine ready to go back on.

Crucially it is sanforised. The fabric is pre-shrunk during manufacture, which is what keeps the corners gripping the mattress instead of gradually giving up after the first few hot washes.

The cut is generous across every size, and there is a coloured hemstitch thread at one end to identify the size without unfolding the sheet. A Short Skirt Single with a 28cm skirt is available for slimmer mattresses.

Care Instructions

Lab tested to meet or exceed NZ and Australian commercial wash care standards. Hot wash up to 70°C before first use, to clench the weave, increase the tensile strength and remove any loom residue or oil.
